Thank you for your interest in the not-for profit Lilly TB Drug Discovery Initiative. This collaborative effort within the drug discovery/development community seeks to identify novel screening assays that are amenable to HTS and/or promising new anti-tubercular compounds that are good candidates for preclinical development and/or medicinal chemistry optimization. Please note that the Lilly Initiative offers assistance through medicinal chemistry expertise, drug screening campaigns, access to the Lilly compound library, and advanced preclinical optimization as a collaborative effort, and does not offer funding assistance.
If you have biological assays or compounds with potential for discovery of new anti-tuberculosis drugs, we invite you to confidentially submit details for consideration by the Scientific Steering Committee of the Lilly TB Initiative. To do so, please contact our staff listed on the "New Ideas Submittal" tab. You will be asked to complete a brief form for each proposed screen/compound in as much detail as possible, and submit it according to the instructions given.
In addition, Eli Lilly and Company has initiated Open Innovation Drug Discovery efforts that may also be of interest: https://openinnovation.lilly.com/dd. The Lilly Phenotypic Drug Discovery Initiative (PD2) opens access to Lilly's internal panel of disease-relevant phenotypic modules, which query complex cellular systems instead of specific targets. The Lilly TargetD2 expands access to a panel of well-validated target-based assays plus relevant computational methods that allow participants to engage in meaningful structure design cycles.
